Please join us as we watch the movie "Necessity: Oil, Water, & Climate Resistance" together from our own computers and discuss the movie on Saturday, February 20th, 6-8m pm.
The organizers of the Film Screening gave us their blessing to watch the movie together from our own screens and discouraged a community screening through Zoom screen sharing for quality purposes. As a result, here is what we will do:
1) Each of us will purchase our own access to the movie BEFORE gathering at 6 pm. All funds will go directly to the fundraiser organized by Extinction Rebellion. You can get access to the movie here by clicking on "Select a date," selecting a random date, and donating what you can to the cause:
Carefully save the access code and the link to the movie until we meet. You will receive an email with this access code and link to the movie from Eventbrite.
2) At 6:00 pm, we will log onto Zoom (information will be sent to you after you register below), take some time to ground together, and do a land acknowledgment.
3) At 6:15 pm, we will start the movie from our own computers - using the access code that you will receive after purchasing access to the movie through the link above. East Point will *not* share screen, so make sure you purchase access to the movie beforehand! The chat will be open in our Zoom room if you would like to post comments as you watch the movie.
3) Around 7:15pm, at the end of the movie, we will gather again in the main Zoom room and engage in discussions based on the facilitation guideline of the movie.
4) At 8:00 pm, we will formally end the guided discussion, but the Zoom room will stay open for those who wish to continue talking.
