Street Mural Workshop

Sunday, October 25th
10AM - 12PM Pacific Time
Richmond, CA

This is an in-person event with COVID safety protocols (the event will be outdoor). The exact location will be sent to you after you register.

Painting street murals is a participatory, creative way to assert ourselves in public space and is a Bay Area tradition over the last decade by movements for Indigenous sovereignty, climate justice, economic justice and Black Lives Matter. In this hands-on in-person workshop we'll learn about designing and painting street murals using non-toxic tempera and clay pain

This workshop is designed especially for teams planning pro-democracy street murals to stop a likely election-related coup attempt, but is also open to other interested individuals.

For more about using street murals as an act of beautiful resistance, check out this article about David and Julie's work.

Wear painting clothes. We will be outdoors and in the sun, so bring sun protection and water.
