What
This workshop is offered by the Quaker Retreat Center, and while the majority of the participants are expected to be Friends of the Quaker community, the workshop is open to anyone in the public.
How can we apply the teachings of Mohandas Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to our work in today’s movements for social change? Join us to learn about the core principles, strategies and philosophies that served as the foundation of their movements. The workshop will attempt to incorporate various learning styles, including interactive activities, role-plays, video presentations, small group work, readings and reflections.
The workshop will be facilitated by Kazu Haga of the East Point Peace Academy and Chris Moore-Backman, a Gandhian Nonviolence trainer.
